Help build the finance function of a quick-growing UK healthcare technology company Script Assist is looking for an exceptional Assistant Financial Controller with hands-on experience running the day-to-day finance function of a startup, scale-up or SME.

We are not looking primarily for:FP&Afinance; business partneringcommercial analysisreporting-only experiencea career auditor who has never operated an in-house finance function We want a qualified, highly detailed finance operator who has personally run-or acted as the clear number two responsible for running-the underlying accounting operation of a growing business.

About Script Assist Script Assist is building the operating system for next-generation private healthcare in the UK.

Our software is used by clinics, pharmacies and healthcare operators and already supports tens of thousands of medical cannabis prescriptions every month.

We are expanding into additional private healthcare markets, including:ADHDweight losslongevityspecialist private medicineother complex healthcare categories We are also preparing for international expansion across multiple markets and legal entities.

As the business grows, we need a finance function that is accurate, controlled, scalable, highly automated and capable of supporting multi-entity global operations.

The role You will work closely with the existing finance team, CEO, senior management and external advisers.

This is a broad, hands-on financial-control and accounting-operations role.

You must have personally operated the finance function-not merely analysed its output.

This is not a role where the underlying accounting work is somebody else's problem.

End-to-end finance-function ownership We are particularly interested in people who have worked in smaller, fast-moving businesses where the finance team could not be divided into narrow specialisms.

You may have:managed a small internal finance teamsupervised bookkeepers or accountantsworked with outsourced finance providerscoordinated payroll providersmanaged external accountantssupported tax advisers and auditorsreported directly to a founder or CEObuilt processes where very little previously existedrepaired weak or poorly controlled finance processesimplemented a more disciplined month-endimproved the accuracy and timeliness of reporting You should understand how all parts of the finance function fit together.

️ Dynamics 365 Business Central Strong, hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is essential.

You should be comfortable using Business Central across areas such as:general ledgersales ledgerpurchase ledgerjournalsbank reconciliationsdimensionschart of accountsapprovalscustomer and supplier accountsfinancial reportingmonth-end processescontrolsdata qualitysystem discipline Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Navision is useful, but it is not a substitute for recent, hands-on Business Central experience.

We are especially interested in candidates who have also supported:a Business Central implementationa Business Central migrationsystem clean-upchart-of-accounts redesignreporting improvementsfinance integrationsapproval workflowsprocess automationbecoming a Business Central finance superuser International,



multi-entity and group finance Script Assist is preparing to operate across multiple countries and legal entities.

Experience in a central or group-finance environment would therefore be extremely valuable.

However, you should understand the additional control and reporting challenges created when a business expands internationally.

Experience we particularly value The strongest profile may be someone who:trained in audit or accounting at a high-quality professional firm; andthen moved in-house and personally ran finance in one or more startups, scale-ups or SMEs. You must also have meaningful in-house operating experience.
