Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data & Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Python (Django), Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, and Apache Camel to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and backend services. You will play a key role in integrating distributed systems, optimizing data workflows, and delivering high-performance, reliable solutions in a fully remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and Django
- Build scalable data processing pipelines using Apache Spark
- Develop and orchestrate workflows using Apache Airflow
- Implement integration patterns and routing using Apache Camel
- Architect and manage end-to-end data flows across multiple systems
- Optimize performance for large-scale data processing and APIs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data, DevOps, product, frontend)
- Ensure code quality through code reviews, testing, and best practices
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability
- Work with cloud platforms and distributed environments
- Document solutions, architecture, and processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 6+ years of professional experience in software development
- Strong proficiency in Python and Django framework




- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark (PySpark/Scala is a plus)
- Solid experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration
- Experience with Apache Camel for system integrations and routing
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs and microservices architecture
- Experience working with large-scale data systems
- Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Understanding of distributed systems and data processing concepts
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized environments
- Proficiency with version control systems like Git

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Knowledge of Kafka or other streaming platforms
- Experience with data lake / data warehouse architectures
- Exposure to event-driven architecture

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,400,000.00 per year
