Job Title: Montessori Teacher

Department: Pre-Primary / Early Years

Reports To: Principal / Academic Coordinator

Job Summary

The Montessori Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment that follows Montessori principles. The teacher supports the holistic development of children by encouraging independence, creativity, self-discipline, and a love for learning through hands-on activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and conduct Montessori-based learning activities appropriate to the children's developmental stage.
- Prepare and maintain an organized, attractive, and child-friendly Montessori classroom.
- Observe, assess, and document each child's academic, emotional, social, and physical development.
- Encourage independent learning, problem-solving, and decision-making.
- Foster positive behavior and develop social skills through respectful guidance.
- Ensure the safety, hygiene, and well-being of all children at all times.
- Use Montessori teaching materials effectively and maintain them properly.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding students' progress and development.
- Prepare lesson plans, observation records, and progress reports.
- Participate in staff meetings, workshops, training programs, and school events.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and school management to enhance the learning experience.
- Promote values such as kindness, respect,



responsibility, and cooperation.

Qualifications

- Diploma or Certification in Montessori Teacher Training (MTT/AMI/AMS or equivalent).
- Graduate in any discipline (B.Ed./NTT/ECCE preferred).
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Basic computer knowledge is desirable.

- Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and methodology.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a caring attitude toward young children.
- Creativity in planning engaging learning experiences.
- Good observation and assessment skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents.

Experience

- Freshers with Montessori training may apply.
- Preferred: 1–3 years of teaching experience in a Montessori or preschool setting.

Working Conditions

- Full-time position.
- Participation in school assemblies, parent-teacher meetings, celebrations, and training sessions as required.

Pay: ₹10,259.22 - ₹25,000.00 per month
