Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Assistant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure a comfortable and pleasant experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas.
- Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish guest supplies.
- Ensure all assigned areas meet hotel cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or lost and found items to the supervisor.
- Assist with laundry operations when required.
- Handle cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and responsibly.
- Maintain housekeeping stores and ensure proper use of supplies.
- Support deep-cleaning schedules and special cleaning projects.
- Follow hotel safety, health, and sanitation procedures at all times.
- Provide courteous assistance to guests when approached.
Requirements:
- Basic reading and communication skills.
- Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel is preferred.
- Ability to work versatile shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Physically fit and capable of handling cleaning duties.
- Positive attitude, teamwork, and attention to detail.
