Job Descritpion of Okta IAM Engineer

6 to 8 Years Relevant Experience-

We are seeking a seasoned Okta Engineer with strong experience in identity and access management, specifically using the Okta platform. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in custom integrations, Okta APIs, and application development, with hands-on expertise in authentication protocols and lifecycle management using SCIM/OPP. This is a technical, delivery-focused role in an Agile workplace.

Must-Have Skills:

- 6–8 years of hands-on experience with Okta
- Deep understanding of how to customize Okta
- Experience with Okta APIs and sign-in widget
- Proficiency in integrating custom applications using OIDC or SAML




- Hands-on work with business app developers to embed Okta into applications
- Understanding of Lifecycle Management (LCM) using SCIM and OPP
- Advanced knowledge of Okta infrastructure, including:
- Org2Org
- Okta Workflows
- Okta Provisioning (OPP)

- Background in application development (e.g., using Python) with experience in API integrations
- Comfortable working in Agile environments and using Jira for task tracking
