Job Summary
1. Network Security Operations
• Provide advanced operational support for:
o Fortinet FortiGate firewalls
o Check Point Next Gen Firewalls
o Cisco routing and switching
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across firewall and Cisco platforms.
• Manage and lead P1/P2 incident calls, ensuring timely restoration of services.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
2. Lifecycle Management
• Plan and execute:
o Software/firmware upgrades
o Hardware replacements/refresh
o Policy optimization and cleanup
o Configuration standardization
• Evaluate EOL/EOS devices and coordinate replacement strategies.
• Ensure adherence to change management processes (ITIL).
3. Compliance & Security Governance
• Monitor and remediate compliance violations across network security infrastructure.
• Ensure configurations meet internal security standards and audit requirements.
• Work with security and compliance teams to address gaps and implement corrective actions.
4. Cloud Networking (Good to Have and not a must have)
• Working knowledge of Azure and AWS networking, including:
o VPC/VNet architecture
o Security groups, NACLs, routing




o Cloud firewalls and web security controls
• Support hybrid network architecture integration with on-prem systems.
5. Automation & Infrastructure as Code (Nice to Have)
• Use Python, Terraform, and Ansible to automate upgrades and chronic issues is Major plus.
o Configuration deployments
o Validation and compliance checks
o Device onboarding and updates
• Contribute to automation pipelines and templates for repeatable tasks.
6. Documentation & Collaboration
• Maintain detailed documentation for network diagrams, change procedures, and configurations.
• Collaborate with SOC, Cloud, Application, and Compliance teams for cross-functional initiatives.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on complex projects.
Technical Skills
• 7–8 years of experience in network security engineering.
• Solid hands-on experience with:
o Fortinet FortiGate (policy mgmt, HA)
o Check Point Firewalls (SmartConsole, ClusterXL, IPS)
o Cisco routing and switching (ACL, routing protocols, VPN IPSec)
• Deep understanding of:
o TCP/IP, routing, switching
o SSL/TLS, IPSec
o Threat prevention technologies
• Experience supporting large enterprise production environments.
