Job Description – AI/ML Architect (Manufacturing Domain)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced AI/ML Architect to design and implement end-to-end AI solutions for the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AI/ML, Industrial IoT (IIoT), cloud and edge computing, and data engineering to build scalable solutions for predictive maintenance, quality inspection, supply chain optimization, and smart manufacturing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and architect end-to-end AI/ML solutions for manufacturing use cases such as predictive maintenance, quality inspection, and production optimization.
- Build scalable data pipelines for processing high-frequency industrial data from PLC, SCADA, ERP, and IoT systems.
- Develop and deploy machine learning models on edge devices and cloud platforms to support real-time decision-making.
- Design and implement computer vision solutions for automated optical inspection (AOI) and defect detection.
- Architect Digital Twin solutions to simulate manufacturing processes and optimize production scenarios.
- Establish MLOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines for model deployment, monitoring, retraining, and lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, manufacturing teams, and business stakeholders to deliver AI-driven solutions.
- Ensure system scalability, reliability, security, and compliance with manufacturing standards.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative solutions for industrial automation.

Required Skills

- 8+ years of experience in Software Architecture, with at least 4 years focused on AI/ML solutions.
- Strong experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Scikit-learn.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and large-scale data processing.




- Robust understanding of Industrial IoT (IIoT) protocols such as MQTT, OPC-UA, and Modbus.
- Experience with Azure IoT Edge, AWS IoT Greengrass, or similar edge computing platforms.
- Knowledge of NVIDIA Jetson or other edge AI hardware.
- Experience with data engineering technologies such as Kafka, Snowflake, and Time-Series Databases (e.g., InfluxDB).
- Strong understanding of MLOps, model deployment, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with cloud-native AI architectures and distributed systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Good to Have

- Experience with Digital Twins and industrial simulation platforms.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with manufacturing cybersecurity and ISO standards.
- Experience working in Industry 4.0 or Smart Factory initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure) or AI/ML certifications are an added advantage.
