Job Summary
As a Linux Administrator specializing in RedHat Satellite and RedHat Cluster, you will play a critical role in ensuring operational excellence within the Support & Operations team. Your expertise will be crucial in resolving technical issues, providing on-call support, and conducting root cause analyses, all aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide Technical Support And Solutions By Managing And Troubleshooting Linux Systems And Redhat Satellite Environments To Ensure High Availability And Performance.
2. Conduct Root Cause Analysis For Escalated Tickets, Utilizing Linux Command-Line Tools And Logs To Identify And Resolve Underlying Issues Effectively.
3. Develop And Maintain A Knowledge Base For Common Issues And Solutions In Linux And Redhat Environments, Ensuring Continuous Improvement And Easy Access For Team Members.
4. Independently Resolve Support Tickets Within Agreed SLAs, Utilizing Redhat Cluster For High-Availability Configurations And Ensuring Minimal Downtime For Clients.
5. Enhance Customer Experience Through First Call Resolution Initiatives,
Aiming For High Customer Satisfaction Scores And Reducing The Number Of Reopened Cases.
Job Purpose
nSME is responsible for Incident, Change, Knowledge, Availability and Capacity Management for Linux operating system. Manage L2/L3 production/project support activities. Administer and manage Linux/UNIX servers. Monitor system performance and ensure system security Excellent communication and facilitation skills Experience or familiar on tools like ticketing and monitoring tools. Responsible for coaching and mentoring the team members. Willingness to work on versatile working hours including weekends. Involved in Routine Operational support and troubleshooting.
Job Scope
Should have experience in Monitoring and L2/L3 Incident & Change Management. Expert level experience in Linux and its related sub-components. Produce and maintain documentation of the Linux environment Should have experience in file-system management : Create and manage filesystems Create and manage logical volumes Create and manage volume groups Manage physical and virtual devices Maintenance and management of Hardware RAID Understand storage area networks and the representation in the operating system to be able to define and debug LUN integration into the operating system Should have experience open vendor calls and collect usually required information Should have experience in system and network management and security, especially: Configure network devices (including Ether channel, IPv4, and IPv6)
Troubleshoot network issues Configure and manage remote access including ssh and ssl configuration Understand system hardening procedures Unix / Linux OS management, support and troubleshooting Clustering knowledge, PCS of Linux Should have knowledge of DNS, NIS, Proxy and LDAP Should have knowledge of shell scripting. Configuring VPC peering & Transit gateways between customer and HEC network to allow the communication. Used security groups, subnets, network ACL’s, internet gateways and route tables to ensure security for customer networks. Creating, managing internal & external load balancers to allow the public network communication with specific ports. (Azure Configuring VNET & VWAN peering between different networks to allow communication. Used network security groups, subnets, route tables, local network gateway and application security groups to ensure security for customer networks. Configuring Cloud NAT (GCP) Working knowledge on Pacemaker cluster.
Background
The candidate should be degree educated and needs to have at least 6-8 plus years solid experience of Linux Operating System. • Certification on Linux is an added advantage Knowledge on any cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP) is an added advantage

1. Proficient In Linux System Administration With A Robust Understanding Of Redhat Satellite And Redhat Cluster Technologies.
2. Solid Troubleshooting Skills With The Ability To Analyze Complex Technical Issues And Implement Effective Solutions.
