- Supervise daily housekeeping activities in assigned wards, ICUs, OTs, OPDs, emergency, diagnostic areas, public areas, and administrative offices.
- Ensure timely cleaning, disinfection, and terminal cleaning as per hospital protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections of patient care areas and public spaces.
- Ensure adherence to cleaning schedules, checklists, and SOPs.
- Coordinate deep cleaning activities and periodic cleaning programs.
- Infection Prevention & Control
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols.
- Monitor proper cleaning and disinfection practices using approved chemicals.
- Ensure correct color-coded cleaning equipment is used in designated areas.
- Coordinate with the Infection Control Team during audits and surveillance.
- Ensure immediate cleaning of blood/body fluid spills as per protocol.
- Biomedical Waste Management
- Ensure segregation and disposal of biomedical waste as per Biomedical Waste Management Rules.
- Monitor correct use of color-coded bins and bags.
- Conduct routine checks for compliance and rectify deviations immediately.
- Manpower Management
- Allocate housekeeping staff based on workload and patient occupancy.




- Prepare duty rosters and manage shift deployment.
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, productivity, and discipline.
- Train new employees and conduct on-the-job training.
- Evaluate staff performance and provide coaching.
- Quality & NABH Compliance
- Ensure compliance with NABH housekeeping standards.
- Maintain housekeeping documentation, checklists, and audit records.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions for audit observations.
- Inventory & Equipment Management
- Monitor consumption of cleaning chemicals and housekeeping consumables.
- Ensure adequate stock availability.
- Maintain housekeeping equipment in good working condition.
- Report equipment breakdowns and coordinate repairs.
- Patient & Customer Service
- Safety & Compliance
- Ensure safe handling and storage of cleaning chemicals (MSDS compliance).
- Promote secure work practices and appropriate PPE usage.
- Report safety hazards, incidents, and near misses promptly.
- Ensure compliance with fire safety and emergency response procedures.

Any graduate degree with 2-5 years experience in hospital or hotel industry is refered.
