We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Engineer to join our growing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure aluminium profiles, glass, hardware, accessories and project-related materials.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate the best commercial terms.
- Float enquiries, compare quotations and prepare comparative statements.
- Raise Purchase Orders and ensure timely order placement.
- Follow up with suppliers for timely deliveries and coordinate logistics.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure uninterrupted material availability.
- Coordinate with Design, Production, Stores and Projects teams for procurement planning.
- Track material status and maintain procurement schedules.
- Verify invoices, purchase documentation and supplier records.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Develop new vendors and evaluate supplier performance periodically.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Diploma/B.E. in Mechanical
- 2–6 years of experience in Purchase
- Experience in the aluminium windows, façade, glass, construction or building materials industry will be preferred.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Office.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced, deadline-driven environment.
