- Machine Setup: Select and install appropriate tooling, mandrels, and dies according to job specifications.
- Programming & Operation: Load CNC programs, input bending angles, radii, and rotations, and operate the machine safely using foot pedals and controls.
- Quality Control: Use precise measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, and angle gauges) to inspect finished parts and prevent defects like kinking or wrinkling.
- Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine lubrication, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting, while strictly adhering to workplace safety protocols and PPE requirements.
- Qualifications and Skills
- Technical Knowledge: High school diploma, ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification in machining/fitting, or relevant diploma.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and determine exact bending sequences.
- Math & Geometry: Strong spatial awareness and practical math skills to calculate bend allowances and material spring-back
