About Us:

Suntek Tooling is a growing tool room specializing in high-precision sheet metal dies including progressive, blanking, and forming tools. We cater to industries such as Automotive, White Goods, Home Appliances, and Electrical Components.

About the Role:
We are looking for a Purchase Engineer to manage procurement of raw materials, tooling accessories, and standard components for our Press Tool & Dies development operations serving Automotive, White Goods, Consumer, and Electrical component sectors.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors for tool steel, raw materials (sheet/plate/bar stock), and standard die components (punches, dies, springs, guide pillars, bushes, fasteners, etc.)
- Prepare and float RFQs (Request for Quotations) based on drawings/BOM shared by design and production teams
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers
- Place purchase orders and track order status to ensure on-time delivery aligned with tool development schedules
- Coordinate with stores/inventory team for material inward, GRN, and stock reconciliation
- Maintain vendor database with pricing history, lead times, and quality performance
- Source standard items (DME, Misumi, HASCO, or equivalent standard mold/die components) as per BOM requirements




- Monitor material specifications and ensure procured RM/components meet drawing and quality standards
- Coordinate with quality team for incoming material inspection and handle rejections/replacements with vendors
- Track cost-saving opportunities and support cost reduction initiatives
- Maintain purchase records, comparative statements, and MIS reports for management review
- Follow up with vendors for timely delivery of critical/long-lead items to avoid production delays
- Support import/local sourcing decisions and coordinate with logistics for material inward (if applicable)
- Ensure compliance with company purchase policies and documentation (PO, GRN, invoices)

Requirements:

- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Production/Tool & Die Engineering (or related field)
- 2–5 years of experience in purchase/procurement, preferably in tool room, press shop, or sheet metal industry
- Knowledge of tool steel grades, standard die components, and mold/die accessories (DME/HASCO/Misumi standards preferred)
- Solid negotiation and vendor management skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel; ERP knowledge is a plus
- Good communication and follow-up skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
