JOB DISCRIPTION FOR RMO ICU

Patient Care & Clinical Duties:

- Conduct regular patient rounds and monitor patients’ vital signs, clinical progress, and treatment response.
- Perform routine and emergency medical check-ups to assess patients’ health condition and identify potential complications.
- Examine and evaluate symptoms to determine illness severity and assist in formulating treatment plans in consultation with the ICU Consultant.
- Administer medications, IV infusions, oxygen therapy, and other treatments as prescribed.
- Prescribe and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests to obtain clinical information and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Ensure timely documentation of patient progress, medical interventions, and test results.
- Provide first-line emergency management and initiate life-saving procedures (e.g., CPR, airway management) when required.

· Collaborate with consultants, anesthetists, nurses, and paramedical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.





· Communicate effectively with patient relatives regarding patient condition and treatment updates as directed by the consultant.

· Maintain accurate, complete, and timely medical records in patient files and hospital systems.

· Adhere to ICU protocols, infection control policies, and patient safety standards.

· Ensure confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with medical ethics and hospital policy.
