Job Summary
Job Description: CAE Engineer – Ansys Motion & Ansys Workbench
Position Title
CAE / Simulation Engineer – Multibody Dynamics & Structural Analysis
Experience
Minimum 4+ years of relevant hands-on experience
Job Location
Bengaluru / India
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled CAE Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Ansys Motion and Ansys Workbench. The candidate should be capable of working independently on simulation projects, from problem definition to result interpretation, and supporting design decisions through robust analysis.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform multibody dynamics (MBD) simulations using Ansys Motion for mechanical systems involving rigid and flexible bodies.
• Conduct structural analyses using Ansys Workbench (Static Structural, Modal, Harmonic, Transient as applicable).
• Set up and execute motion-structure coupled simulations (flexible bodies, component stress extraction from motion loads).
• Independently handle:
• Geometry cleanup and preparation
• Material definition and contact setup
• Boundary conditions and load application
• Solver setup and execution
• Postprocessing and result interpretation
• Correlate simulation results with physical testing data where available.
• Support design optimization and troubleshooting based on simulation findings.
• Prepare clear technical reports and presentations for internal teams and customers.
• Work closely with design, testing, and project teams to meet project timelines.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in CAE / simulation roles.
• Strong practical experience with:
• Ansys Motion
• Ansys Workbench
• Solid understanding of:
• Multibody dynamics fundamentals
• Rigid and flexible body modeling
• Kinematics, dynamics, and load transfer
• Structural mechanics and FEA basics
• Experience working independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to interpret simulation results and convert them into engineering insights.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Good to Have (Preferred Skills)
• Experience with motion-driven stress analysis (exporting loads from Ansys Motion to Workbench).
• Knowledge of contacts, joints, bushings, springs, dampers, and nonlinear behavior.
• Exposure to fatigue, durability,
or vibration analysis.
• Experience in product development environments (automotive, appliances, machinery, industrial equipment).
• Basic scripting or automation exposure (APDL, Python – optional).
• Customer-facing or project coordination experience.
Soft Skills
• Solid analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver on deadlines
• Proactive and ownership-driven approach
