Senior Software Tester – Banking Domain (Manual & Automation)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Tester with extensive experience in the banking domain to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead testing initiatives, ensuring the delivery of high-quality banking applications that meet functional, non-functional, and regulatory requirements. The role involves mentoring junior testers, defining test strategies, driving automation initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure software quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design, development, and execution of comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for banking applications.

- Drive both manual and automation testing activities to validate functional, non-functional, integration, and regulatory requirements.

- Identify, document, track, and validate defects in collaboration with development teams, ensuring timely resolution.

- Perform risk assessments and provide insights into testing coverage, quality metrics, and release readiness.

- Mentor and guide junior testers, promoting best practices and continuous improvement within the QA team.

- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and other stakeholders throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, banking regulations, and software testing best practices.

- Evaluate, recommend, and implement testing tools, frameworks, and automation solutions to improve testing efficiency.

- Qualifications





- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing, preferably in the banking or financial services domain.

- Strong understanding of banking processes, payment systems, regulatory compliance, and financial transaction workflows.

- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for test management, defect tracking, and Agile project management.

- Mandatory experience in automation testing using Selenium WebDriver.

- Experience in API testing using Postman.

- Strong SQL skills for database validation and backend testing.

- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

- Solid attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality software.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Preferred Skills

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

- Knowledge of payment systems, transaction processing, and banking risk management.

- Experience in test automation framework development and maintenance.

- Exposure to performance testing and CI/CD pipelines is an added advantage.
