Storyboard Artist

Job Description:

FlashyVideos is seeking a talented and experienced Storyboard Artist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating engaging and visually compelling storyboards for explainer videos using Adobe Illustrator, Vyond, and AI-powered creative tools. The candidate should have a robust understanding of visual storytelling and hands-on knowledge of AI tools for generating images, characters, backgrounds, visual concepts, and video content. A keen eye for detail, creativity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the creative team to conceptualize and design storyboards for explainer videos based on scripts, concepts, and client requirements.

- Use Adobe Illustrator to create detailed illustrations, characters, scenes, backgrounds, and other visual assets that effectively communicate the video's narrative.

- Use AI image-generation tools to create high-quality images, characters, backgrounds, concepts, and other visual assets for storyboards.

- Use AI video-generation tools to create, enhance, or transform static visuals and AI-generated images into engaging video content.

- Edit, refine, and customize AI-generated images and visual assets to maintain consistency with the storyboard, brand guidelines, and required visual style.

- Create storyboards in Vyond and animate them when required.

- Work closely with the animation team to ensure storyboards translate seamlessly into the final animated video.

- Use Camtasia for video editing when required; hands-on experience with Camtasia is a plus.





- Participate in client meetings and presentations to present and explain storyboard concepts and creative decisions.

- Explore and utilize new AI-powered creative tools to improve storyboard development, visual ideation, and video production workflows.

- Stay up to date with the latest trends in AI image generation, AI video generation, animation, illustration, and visual storytelling.

Requirements:

- Prior experience as a Storyboard Artist, preferably in the explainer video or animation industry.

- Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and other relevant design software.

- Hands-on knowledge of AI image-generation and AI video-generation tools.

- Ability to use AI tools to create images, characters, backgrounds, scenes, concepts, and video content.

- Ability to refine and incorporate AI-generated assets into professional storyboards and video projects.

- Strong understanding of composition, scene planning, visual storytelling, character placement, and design principles.

- Experience creating storyboards in Vyond and animating them is preferred.

- Hands-on experience in video editing using Camtasia is a plus.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

- A portfolio showcasing previous storyboard, illustration, explainer video, or AI-assisted creative work.
