Job Title: Steward / Service Associate

Department: Food & Beverage Service

Reports To: Senior Captain / Restaurant Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Purpose

The Steward / Service Associate is responsible for delivering excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring guests enjoy a pleasant dining experience while adhering to company standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Service

- Greet and welcome guests warmly.
- Present menus and explain food and beverage offerings.
- Take guest orders accurately using the POS system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
- Check guest satisfaction during the dining experience.
- Assist guests with requests and resolve minor concerns.

Restaurant Operations

- Prepare tables before service.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas and service stations.
- Clear and reset tables efficiently.
- Assist in opening and closing duties.

Billing & Cash Handling

- Present bills accurately.
- Process payments through cash, card, or digital methods.
- Follow company cash-handling procedures.

Hygiene & Safety

- Maintain personal hygiene and grooming standards.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.




- Ensure service equipment is clean and properly maintained.

Teamwork

- Coordinate with kitchen staff for timely service.
- Support fellow team members during peak hours.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and management.

Skills Required

- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.
- Ability to work under pressure.

- Basic computer/POS knowledge.

Qualification

- Higher Secondary (12th Pass) or Graduate.
- Hotel Management qualification preferred but not mandatory.

Experience

- 0–2 years of experience in restaurants, cafés, or hotels.
- Freshers with a positive attitude are welcome.
