Position: Sr. Production Planning & Control (PPC)
Reporting To: Factory Manager
Location : Ranipet , Unit 1 Educational/Academic Qualification: B.E./B.Tech or equivalent
Certification Courses / Skill set / Addl. Qualifications: Plastic Molded Components, Lean Concept
Experience (in years) - 7 - 10 Yrs
Preferred Industry : Toys, Automobile or Similar • Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance with minimum lead time which includes analysing backlog.
• Collaboration with production support groups like Quality, Engineering, Warehouse, etc.
• Coordination of production flows across multiple products.
• Involvement in Lean projects and/or proposals of projects and strategies to ensure continues improvement.
• Conversion of planned orders daily to ensure demand is being reflected promptly.
• Coordination with vendors for sub-contracting activity and need to ensure for timely completion.
• Prepare raw material requirement plan & schedules based on sales plan.
• Generate section wise weekly production plans as per the sales plan/ forecast received from sales department.
• Scheduling the production in production planner.
• Calculate Machine hours & Man hours required and release monthly manpower requirement plan.
• Based on production plan prepare machine loading considering WIP on shop floor.




• Co-ordinate with respective raw material stores for smooth functioning of issued plan.
• Communicate the shortages to raw material stores and accordingly intimate to sales dept.
• Follow-up with production in-charges for adherence of production plan
• Ensure all the material is available for the production in advance.
• Control the inventory and plan for FIFO in store.
• Monitor and plan the reorders and carry out RCA for the same.
• Re-Confirmation of production orders & in case of any delay, intimate to Sales dept.
• Prioritize customer urgencies on shop floor with indication on batch sheets.
• Provide MIS reports to Top Management.
• Formulating daily and monthly plans of job order and looking after machine loading & scheduling for multiple OEM customer requirement JIT supply
• Analysing production performance with respect to customer delivery index and planned efficiency
• Ensure material availability in advance for On-Time deliveries.
• Planning day to day production to achieve targets ie Reviewing production process.
• Identification of production constraints and its elevation from time to time.
• Establishing standard times for all the tasks.
• Simultaneously working towards productivity and quality improvement.
• Maintaining MIS, Month Plans, Doable Sheets and other report regularly
