Role Description This is a full time, on-site Study Abroad Counsellor role based in Surat. The Study Abroad Counsellor will guide students through the entire study abroad process, including understanding their academic and career goals, suggesting suitable countries, universities, and programs, and explaining admission requirements and timelines. The role involves conducting counseling sessions, reviewing academic documents, assisting with application form filling, and coordinating with students to prepare supporting materials such as resumes, statements of purpose, and recommendation letters. The counsellor will provide guidance on standardized tests, visa processes, interview preparation,



and pre-departure matters, while maintaining accurate records of student interactions and progress. Collaboration with internal coaching teams and participation in seminars or events to promote study abroad opportunities will also be part of day-to-day responsibilities.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong student counseling and advisory skills, including the ability to understand individual goals and recommend suitable international education pathways.
- Candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to conduct one-on-one sessions, group presentations, and interactions with students and families.
- Candidates should possess organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple applications, documentation requirements, and deadlines efficiently.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of international education systems, admission processes, and visa procedures for countries such as Canada, the USA, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in using office productivity tools and CRM or student management systems for tracking applications and maintaining records.
- Relevant experience in study abroad consulting, education counseling, or a related field is highly beneficial.
- A bachelor's degree in any discipline, preferably in education, counseling, business, or a related field, is desirable.
- Proficiency in English and local languages, along with a professional, ethical, and student-focused approach, will be advantageous.
