• Source, identify, prequalify, and evaluate local and international suppliers for pharmaceutical, healthcare, biomedical, engineering, laboratory, and general procurement requirements.
• Obtain quotations, prepare detailed commercial and technical comparison sheets, negotiate pricing and terms, and make clear recommendations to management.
• Coordinate tender activities, including document review, compliance checks, submission planning, clarifications, amendments, deadlines, and post-tender follow-up, where applicable.
• Work with vendors, manufacturers, distributors, consultants, and service providers to secure accurate and timely technical and commercial offers.
• Prepare and process purchase orders,
approvals, supplier records, contracts, procurement files, and supporting documentation.
• Track orders, production schedules, inspections, FAT/SAT activities where relevant, delivery timelines, invoices, shipping documents, and payment milestones.
• Support procurement of pharmaceutical manufacturing machinery, API process equipment, laboratory equipment, consumables, spare parts, packaging materials, and project services.
• Review specifications, datasheets, drawings, scopes of work, and compliance requirements with internal technical teams and suppliers.
• Support vendor due diligence, supplier qualification, performance monitoring, and corrective follow-up.
• Coordinate import/export activities, freight, customs documentation, insurance, and logistics follow-ups as required.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and management trackers, provide timely status and risk updates, and build trusted supplier and stakeholder relationships while protecting confidentiality and ethical standards.
Preferred Experience
Mandatory
• Strong CAPEX procurement experience, including sourcing and evaluation of capital equipment, machinery, process systems, engineering packages, or major project purchases.
• Professional experience within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, specifically supporting API development, API manufacturing, process development, scale-up, or related manufacturing projects.
• Demonstrated ability to work with international suppliers, technical teams, and cross-border commercial and logistics requirements.
Preferred
• Experience sourcing process equipment, laboratory systems, utilities, automation, or engineering services for API facilities.
• Exposure to international shipping, import/export documentation, customs coordination, and supplier quality or compliance documentation.
• Experience working across multiple countries, cultures, and time zones in a remote or hybrid environment
Core Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Management, Engineering, Pharmacy, Science, or a related field.
• Approximately 3–5 years of relevant procurement experience; candidates with strong category expertise and clear evidence of ownership may also be considered.
• Sound understanding of sourcing, quotation analysis, total-cost evaluation, purchase orders, vendor coordination, contract documentation, and delivery follow-up.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and communicate effectively with engineering, scientific, quality, finance, and operations teams.
• Strong commercial judgment, negotiation, coordination, problem-solving, and follow-through.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Technical and Digital Skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
• Ability to prepare professional emails, tender documents, RFQs, bid comparisons, procurement reports, trackers, and management summaries.
• Experience with SharePoint, ERP systems, procurement platforms, document-management systems, or CRM tools is advantageous.
• Comfortable collaborating virtually, maintaining disciplined digital records, and coordinating across time zones.
Working Arrangement
This is a remote contract role. The selected candidate must have a suitable home-working setup, a stable internet connection, and availability for regular online meetings and collaboration through Microsoft Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and other company-approved platforms. International candidates should be comfortable coordinating with colleagues and suppliers across multiple time zones.
