Job Title: Assistant Manager – Design Review

Location: Bengaluru

Role Overview

The Assistant Manager – Design Review (Supervisor) will be responsible for leading a team of architects and engineers focused on store design reviews. The role ensures all design submissions meet brand standards, engineering requirements, and operational guidelines before execution. This position emphasizes review quality, team supervision, and process adherence, while supporting the Manager in driving consistency and efficiency across all store review activities.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Supervision

• Lead and manage a team of architects and engineers responsible for store design reviews.

• Allocate review tasks, monitor progress,



and ensure timely completion of all assigned reviews.

• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback to the team.

• Ensure team productivity, accountability, and adherence to review timelines. Design Review Oversight

• Oversee review of store design packages including architectural, engineering, and layout drawings.

• Ensure all designs comply with brand standards, codes, and operational requirements.

• Review both prototypical and non-prototypical store designs for accuracy and feasibility.

• Identify design gaps, conflicts, and risks, and ensure proper resolution before approval.

Quality & Compliance

• Maintain high standards of quality and consistency across all design reviews.

• Ensure compliance with established guidelines, specifications, and review checklists.

• Minimize rework by driving thorough and accurate reviews.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Architecture, Engineering, Real Estate, Operations teams).

• Act as the first point of contact for design review queries and clarifications.

• Escalate critical issues or risks to the Manager in a timely manner.

Process Management & Improvement

• Ensure adherence to defined review processes, SLAs, and timelines.

• Support implementation of process improvements and standardization initiatives.

• Assist in developing and refining review checklists, guidelines, and best practices.

Tools & Technical Oversight

• Ensure effective use of tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam for design review and coordination.

• Provide technical support to team members on complex review issues.

Reporting & Governance

• Track review status, team performance, and delivery metrics.

• Provide regular updates to the Manager on progress, risks, and key issues.

• Ensure proper documentation and version control of reviewed drawings.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering, or related field.

• 10–12 years of experience in architecture/design review, engineering coordination, or similar roles.

• Strong experience in store design reviews and drawing validation.

• Proven experience in team handling or supervisory role.





• Experience in retail/store design environment (preferred).

Skills & Competencies
