- Review and understand project drawings including SLD, overall layouts, and section layouts.
- Apply field mark-ups and maintain as-built drawings with minimal supervision.
- Ensure submission of drawings with required site-level approvals.
- Review technical documentation of client systems and machinery.
- Prepare and manage as-built document packs through all project phases.
- Testing & Commissioning
- Develop and implement test plans, procedures, and documentation.
- Conduct testing, inspections, and commissioning activities at site.
- Perform testing of GIS/AIS and LV to EHV equipment.
- Execute scheme verification and cable schedule preparation.
- Conduct equipment checks and system tests to ensure correct functionality.
- Undertake site integration, commissioning, start-up, and handover activities.
- Support and manage Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
- Execution & Coordination
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, clients, and subcontractors.
- Supervise and manage testing works and subcontractor activities.
- Schedule and coordinate commissioning visits with clients.
- Participate in site meetings as per project requirements.
- Provide technical support to construction and execution teams.
- Troubleshooting & Performance Optimization
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues during testing and commissioning.
- Evaluate system performance and recommend optimization measures.
- Conduct system walk-downs and installation verification.
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations, electrical codes, and quality standards.
- Manage compliance review of EPC electrical project documentation and job books.
- Assist in managing RFIs, submittal,
and project obligations.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of testing, results, and issues.
- Project Closure & Commercial Support
- Manage punch point closure and support project closeout (FTOC).
- Verify JMCs for supply and erection bills to support invoicing.
- Evaluate project risks periodically.
Requirements• Strong communication skills (English & Hindi).
• Experience in testing & commissioning of electro-mechanical systems.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of GIS & AIS equipment and substation systems.
• Familiarity with SCADA, control relay, and communication systems.
• Understanding of electrical codes and standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to manage workload under pressure and meet timelines.
• Client-facing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of costing and risk management in substation projects.
• Minimum Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 5–7+ years of experience in Substation/Transmission/Power sector OR
• Diploma (Electrical/Civil) with 10–15+ years of relevant experience
