Software Engineer Full Stack Java Development Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our dynamic product engineering team. In this role, you will design, build, and deploy scalable, resilient, and highly available microservices on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Working in a collaborative Full-Stack eXtreme Programming (XP) environment, you will leverage Test-Driven Development (TDD), Pair Programming, CI/CD automation, and advanced AI-assisted engineering tools to deliver high-impact digital products that drive business value.

Key Responsibilities Development & Architecture

- Design and deploy Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x microservices on Google Cloud Platform
- Build and optimize APIGEE endpoints and RESTful APIs with comprehensive Swagger documentation
- Architect and implement multi-tier caching layers using endpoint caching, cache-aside patterns, and read/write-through strategies
- Develop full-stack solutions integrating backend services with React-based frontend applications
- Implement Spring Batch, reactive programming, and data stream/pipeline processing for enterprise-scale applications

Modern Engineering & AI Integration

- Leverage AI-assisted coding tools (Git Hub Copilot, Gemini Code Assist, Agentic AI) to accelerate design, refactoring, and documentation
- Implement AI-driven testing strategies and predictive defect analysis to improve code quality
- Stay current with emerging technologies and integrate them into development workflows
- Mentor team members on best practices for utilizing AI-assisted development tools

Dev Ops, SRE & Monitoring

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Tekton and Cloud Build on GCP infrastructure
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform for reproducible and scalable deployments
- Automate performance monitoring and establish predictive telemetry using Dynatrace and Splunk
- Apply AIOps-driven guidelines to minimize Mean Time To Resolution (MTTR) and enhance system reliability
- Ensure high availability and fault tolerance across all deployed microservices

Technical Leadership & Strategy

- Conduct technical discovery sessions to understand current state (as-is) and design future state architectures
- Evaluate technical solutions against commercial and cost criteria to optimize cloud spending
- Advise product and engineering teams on cloud design patterns and architectural best practices
- Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on technical implementation and career growth
- Provide accurate user story estimation and technical feasibility assessments
- Champion code quality, security, and operational excellence standards

Agile Collaboration

- Actively participate in eXtreme Programming (XP) practices including Pair Programming and Test-Driven Development
- Engage in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, backlog grooming,



sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Collaborate on journey mapping and user story refinement with cross-functional teams
- Work effectively in a global delivery environment with distributed teams

Required Qualifications Education

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (B.E., B. Tech, M.C.A., or equivalent)

Experience

- Overall: 7+ years of skilled experience in enterprise web application and backend service development
- Java/Spring Core: 5+ years of hands-on technical expertise in:
- Core Java and advanced Java features
- Spring Boot and Spring Batch frameworks
- Reactive programming and Project Reactor
- Data streams and pipeline processing

- Cloud Infrastructure: 3+ years of cloud platform experience with:

- 2+ years of hands-on GCP architecture and implementation
- Practical experience with Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, and Redis
- Cloud Build and containerization technologies

- API, Security & Quality Assurance: Demonstrated experience with:

- APIGEE API management and gateway solutions
- Code quality and security tools (Sonar Qube, Cycode, 42Crunch)
- Test-Driven Development and testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito)
- Performance testing tools (JMeter)

- Dev Ops & Monitoring: Hands-on deployment and monitoring experience with:

- Tekton for CI/CD pipeline automation
- Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code
- Splunk and Dynatrace for observability and monitoring

- Frontend Development: Working knowledge of React and modern frontend frameworks
- Emerging Technologies: Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (Git Hub Copilot, Gemini Code Assist) and AIOps concepts

- Proven ability to minimize MTTR using AI-powered diagnostic and observability tools
- 4+ years of experience in Agile Scrum environments delivering complex, global, headless digital architectures
- Track record of successful technical mentoring and team leadership
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills in distributed global teams




- Open source contributions or published technical articles demonstrating thought leadership
