Overview
You’ll help clients understand catastrophe loss potential across large and complex insurance books. You’ll work with leading catastrophe models and Gallagher tools to prepare data, run analyses, check results, and shape explicit summaries for renewal work, RFPs and reinsurance decisions. The work moves quickly. Timelines can shift. You’ll need to stay organised, adapt to change, and keep people updated across offices and stakeholder groups. You’ll be part of work that depends on clear thinking, careful delivery and close teamwork. How You'll Make an Impact You’ll prepare and clean model input data, check exposures, and make sure the right model settings are in place. You’ll use SQL and Excel to scrub data, then turn that information into loss estimates, summaries and maps that help clients understand risk and make decisions. You’ll also run model sensitivity checks, review loss feasibility, support SRQ responses, and track model change so we can see what it means for client results. On top of that, you’ll help lead complex projects, support junior colleagues, review their work, and keep communication flowing between teams and offices so deadlines and client needs stay aligned. About you Here’s what you’ll bring to the role: You’ve worked with catastrophe models such as RMS Risk Link, AIR Touchstone, Core Logic RQE or similar tools. You can prepare, check and clean data in SQL and Excel. You can geocode exposures and apply model and peril settings with care.
You can turn model output into clear reports, maps and summaries using tools such as iFM, Work Flow Manager, Spatia Key or ArcGIS. You can run sensitivity checks and explain what changes in inputs mean for results. You can support loss feasibility checks, model change reviews and SRQ responses. You can guide junior colleagues and review their work. You can keep several projects moving at once and share updates with people across offices. You can explain complex issues in simple terms to clients and colleagues. You’re comfortable working with shifting timelines and changing priorities. How you'll make an impact Job responsibilities Prepare, clean and scrub model input data using SQL and Excel. Geocode exposures and apply the right model and peril settings. Run catastrophe models and proprietary analysis tools to produce loss estimates and summaries. Create reports, visuals and maps that explain exposure and loss results. Carry out sensitivity checks, loss feasibility studies and model change impact reviews. Support renewal work, intermittent projects, RFPs, SRQ responses and reinsurance structure analysis. Coordinate with onshore leads, offices and stakeholders so work stays on track. Help train, mentor and review junior analysts. Support live event response activity when needed. About you Qualifications: University Degree and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
