Role Description The Career Counselor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bhubaneswar. The counselor will guide students and professionals in exploring career options, assessing strengths and interests, and creating realistic career plans aligned with individual goals. Daily responsibilities include conducting one-on-one and group counseling sessions, administering and interpreting career assessments, and supporting participants with resume development, interview preparation, and job search strategies. The role also involves collaborating with academic and corporate partners, organizing career workshops and awareness programs, maintaining accurate counseling records,



and providing regular progress reports. The counselor will contribute to the design and delivery of Identity's training modules to ensure that career guidance aligns with the organization's result-oriented approach.
Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Career Counseling and Career Development to help individuals identify goals and design effective development plans.
- Candidates should possess skills in Career Management, including planning career paths, navigating transitions, and supporting long-term professional growth.
- Candidates should possess skills in Student Counseling, with the ability to work empathetically and constructively with diverse academic and training participants.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication, active listening, and facilitation of group sessions.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor's or master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Education, Human Resources, or a related field are preferred.
- Prior experience in career counseling, academic advising, training, or talent development within educational or corporate settings will be an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to build trust with participants from varied backgrounds are highly beneficial.
- Ability to work in a structured, result-oriented environment, with valuable organizational skills and proficiency in basic office and presentation software.
