Systems Administrator

The Systems Administrator is responsible for keeping the back-end servers running smoothly and securely in accordance with industry best practices. The Systems Administrator will work with the IT Supervisor and IT manager to accomplish these goals.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Monitor & manage servers & storage systems

· Monitor scheduled backups & perform regular testing of backups & disaster recovery environment

· Perform scheduled maintenance upgrades

· Administrate cloud-based services

· Manage cloud migration projects

· Create & maintain software deployment packages

· Work closely with the networking team

· Provide second-tier IT support to all manufacturing sites and remote employees in cooperation with IT Support Analyst as necessary

Qualifications:

· College diploma or university degree in Computer Science or technology related field





· Experience working with Windows client and server systems and applications

· Proficient in MS Office applications and other technologies (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook)

· Robust customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical audiences

· Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities

· Excellent planning and organizational skills

· Detail oriented with strong technical aptitude

· Experience with any of the following considered an asset:

o Hypervisor administration

o Server backup & recovery systems

o Server Administration – Hardware & remote administration

o SAN & NAS administration

o Ticketing systems

o Vulnerability management
