Job Description: Workday Adaptive Planning Consultant (Senior / Lead)
Role Overview

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Workday Adaptive Planning Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between finance and technology, leading the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise -wide budgeting, forecasting, and reporting solutions.
With 5 to 11 years of experience, you will be expected to step into a leadership or architecture capacity—owning client relationships, architecting complex financial models, and mentoring junior team members to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Implementation
- End -to -End Delivery: Lead the discovery, requirements gathering, design, build, testing, and deployment phases of Workday Adaptive Planning implementations.
- Advanced Modelling: Architect and build complex, driver -based corporate models, including Expense, Personnel (Workforce), Revenue/Top -line, CapEx, and Balance Sheet/Cash Flow models.
- System Design: Configure complex Level Structures, Dimensions, Attributes, and various sheet types (Modelled, Standard, Cube, and Assumption sheets).
Data Integration & Analytics
- Data Pipelines: Architect data integration strategies using Workday Adaptive Integration Cloud or middleware to pull data from ERP, CRM, and HCM systems (e.g., Workday, NetSuite, SAP, Salesforce).
- Reporting & Dashboards: Design and develop executive -ready dashboards, Discovery Boards,
and agile boardroom report packages utilising OfficeConnect (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strategy, Leadership & Governance
- Client Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to CFOs and FP&A; Directors, translating complex business processes into scalable, best -practice technical blueprints.
- Team Mentorship: Lead project work streams, conduct quality assurance/code reviews on configurations built by junior team members, and foster team development.
- Optimization: Audit existing client environments to identify performance bottlenecks and redesign models for optimal calculation speed and scalability.
- Experience: 5+ years of dedicated, hands -on implementation experience with Workday Adaptive Planning (formerly Adaptive Insights).
- Domain Expertise: Strong foundational knowledge of corporate finance, FP&A; processes, budgeting, forecasting cycles, and accounting principles.
- Formula Mastery: Advanced proficiency in writing complex, logic -driven Adaptive formulas and building multi -currency, global consolidation environments.
- Certifications: Active or recent Workday Adaptive Planning Consultant certifications are highly preferred.
- Experience implementing other modules of the Workday ecosystem (Workday Financials or Workday HCM).
- Background in a professional services or technology consulting firm.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate technical solutions to non -technical financial stakeholders.
- Strong problem -solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast -paced, consultative environment.
