This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Territory Business Manager – Diabetes Quantus based in India.
This role is a high-impact field sales position focused on driving prescription generation and expanding market share within the assigned territory. You will act as the primary link between healthcare professionals and the product portfolio, ensuring strong scientific engagement and consistent brand visibility. The position requires extensive field presence, where you will independently manage daily coverage, call planning, and stakeholder engagement. You will build and sustain long-term relationships with doctors, chemists, and stockists to strengthen product adoption. Success in this role depends on disciplined execution, strong communication, and the ability to influence prescribing behavior ethically. You will also contribute insights from the field to support strategy refinement and market development initiatives. This is a performance-driven role in a fast-paced healthcare environment with significant travel requirements.
Accountabilities:
- Achieve assigned sales targets across the designated territory/region through structured field execution.
- Conduct regular field visits independently, ensuring effective coverage, call frequency, and engagement norms are met.
- Generate prescriptions and drive market share growth for the assigned product portfolio.
- Promote products in alignment with defined sales and marketing strategies.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with doctors, pharmacists, chemists, and stockists.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of field activities through designated digital systems.
- Support local strategy development by sharing field insights, competitor intelligence, and market feedback.
- Act as a credible and responsible brand ambassador in all customer interactions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science (BSc) or Pharmacy (B.Pharm) is required.
- 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales preferred; freshers with strong communication skills may also be considered.
- Prior exposure to the same therapeutic area or similar pharma sales role is an advantage.
- Experience with multinational or top-tier Indian pharmaceutical companies will be beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with confidence in engaging medical professionals.
- Ability to work independently in field conditions with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical mindset and understanding of territory planning and sales execution.
- High level of discipline, accountability, and willingness to travel extensively (up to 100% field work).
