Role: Section Head - Procurement (Technology)

Function: Technology - Purchase

Reporting into: Area Head Procurement

Level: Senior Manager

Purpose of the Role

This position exists to execute the following activities: Nurturing and handling team leader/ members with the size of 6~10, Accountable for KPIs like OTIF (On time in full)/POU(Point of Use)/Overall inventory management. Uptime Assurance & Spares Execution, Decision making & Negotiation Skill, Development & growth of team members. Leader development skill, Responsible for supplier base knowledge & supplier relation within the limits of Business Planning.

Direct reportees: 1-3

Indirect reportees: 0

Education

DME/BE Mechanical Engg

Experience

Relevant Experience of 10-12 Yrs experience in Automobile/ Auto component sector

Business Understanding

Area of Responsibility

Supply chain reliability

In order to execute Planning and reviewing the marketing plan and changes. Supporting the team in arranging critical parts/resolving issues to meet the OTIF and POU.



This results in Input to the team on the improvement of collection compliances/FG stock/Warehouse norms adherence. Sensing upcoming issues at supplier end and timely escalation to seniors.

OES execution

In order to have uptime assurance and meeting targets of Regular indent/ Proactive parts. This results in the timely execution of VOR (Vehicle Off-road)

Inventory

In order to manage overall inventory management, Identifying levers for controlling inventory, Resulting in Controlling Aging inventory >90 days.

Systemic improvement

In order to drive effective implementation in systems such as WH (Warehouse) Stock/FG (Finished Goods)Stock. Daily Delivery Compliance, WSN Compliance, which results in Supplier Issues resolution, Participation in Innovation. Effectiveness of MRP (Material Resource Planning) Processes.
