We seek a dedicated Interventional Cardiologist to join our multi -specialty hospital’s cardiology team. The role emphasizes timely, life -saving interventions including angioplasty, stenting, and device implantation, alongside acute coronary care and heart failure management. The ideal candidate will contribute to clinical excellence, team -based patient care, and community health initiatives through collaboration with NGOs and public health programs. With foundational training and a commitment to quality, the incumbent will support continuous improvement in cardiovascular outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Perform coronary angioplasty, stenting, and cardiac catheterization per clinical guidelines.
- Conduct and interpret echocardiograms and interventional imaging (angiography, IVUS, OCT).
- Manage acute coronary syndromes with rapid, evidence -based interventions.
- Carry out pacemaker and ICD implantation and follow -up in elective and emergency settings.
- Provide comprehensive care for heart failure and arrhythmia patients.
- Participate in electrophysiology studies and ablation procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for integrated patient care.
- Support public health outreach and NGO -led cardiovascular screening programs.
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to hospital protocols.
- Engage in professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- MBBS with MD/DM in Cardiology or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Certification in Echocardiography, Electrophysiology, or Interventional Cardiology (if applicable).
- Hands -on experience in coronary angioplasty, stenting, and cardiac catheterization during training.
- Proficiency in pacemaker and ICD implantation.
- Knowledge of acute coronary care protocols and emergency cardiac response.
- Experience with diagnostic and interventional imaging (angiography, IVUS, OCT).
- Ability to perform under pressure with a focus on patient safety and outcomes.
- Solid communication and teamwork skills.
- Interest or experience in public health, community outreach, or NGO program implementation.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and on -call duties.
- Valid medical license and registration with the Medical Council of India (or equivalent).
