We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are currently hiring on behalf of our client for the position of Instrumentation Design Engineer located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Key Responsibilities
- Develop instrumentation engineering designs, specifications, and technical documentation using INTOOLS (SPI).
- Coordinate with Process, Electrical, and Mechanical engineering teams for integrated project execution.
- Review and validate P&IDs;, ILDs, IO lists, loop diagrams, and logic diagrams for project accuracy.
- Lead technical discussions and participate in HAZOP reviews ensuring compliance with API, ANSI, and ISA standards.
- Design and integrate PLC, DCS, and SCADA -based control systems for industrial applications.
- Specify and evaluate field instruments including transmitters, control valves, analyzers, and flow meters.
- Support pre -commissioning and commissioning activities at project sites as required.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within instrumentation engineering.
Required Skills
1. INTOOLS (SPI): Expertise in preparing instrumentation databases, wiring, loops, and engineering deliverables.
2. PLC/DCS Systems: Hands -on experience in control system architecture and integration.
3. P&ID; Review: Ability to review and validate process instrumentation diagrams and logic systems.
4. Commissioning Support: Experience in pre -commissioning and startup support activities.
5. Instrumentation Standards: Robust understanding of ISA, API, ANSI, and industrial safety practices.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Oil & Gas or EPC projects
- Knowledge of SCADA systems integration
- Exposure to HAZOP and SIL studies
Work Experience Requirements
Candidates should possess 6–12 years of experience in instrumentation engineering and design within EPC, Oil & Gas, or industrial automation environments. Experience in control systems, commissioning, and multidisciplinary coordination is highly preferred. The ideal candidate should be capable of handling project deliverables independently in a fast -paced engineering environment.
Education
Minimum: B.E / B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline
Preferred: M.Tech or relevant industrial certifications
