Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Electrical System Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and validation of electrical and power electronic components for HVAC and Transport Refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in component qualification, product development, DFMEA, reliability engineering, and root cause analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical/electronic components such as converters, inverters, controllers, sensors, actuators, motors, drives, batteries, and contactors.
- Develop and execute DFMEA, validation plans, and test procedures.
- Investigate product quality and reliability issues and drive corrective actions.
- Create electrical system architecture, hook -up diagrams, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate regulatory testing activities including EMC and HALT testing.
- Support New Product Development (NPD)
activities and stage -gate reviews.
- Collaborate with cross -functional teams to ensure product performance, safety, and compliance.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in electrical product design and development.
- Strong knowledge of temperature sensors, actuators, solenoids, motors, drives, batteries, and contactors.
- Positive understanding of analog circuits, protection circuits, and controller hardware.
- Experience with DFMEA, Six Sigma, reliability engineering, and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of project management, Gate Reviews, and IDR processes.
- Ability to develop system architecture and electrical hook -up diagrams.
- Familiarity with electrical safety standards for mobile AC/DC systems.
- Experience in testing, validation, and regulatory compliance.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with PLM/Windchill.
- Knowledge of modelling and simulation tools.
- Exposure to HVAC, Transport Refrigeration, Automotive, or Power Electronics domains.
