our 5C s Challenge Commit Collaborate Choose and Care These core values are the foundation of our organization which our employees embrace in their interactions with customers colleagues and other stakeholders to drive financial performance and create a rewarding work setting Who are we looking for This position is part of the MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions MAES R D team and is primarily responsible for the development and characterization of materials in alignment with business needs The role demands strong hands-on expertise with analytical and thermal instrumentation with particular emphasis on particle size analysis and morphological characterization etc Key responsibilities include accurate analysis documentation and compilation of experimental data The Scientist will collaborate closely with internal and global teams to develop methods conduct testing and ensure the quality consistency and reliability of results operation and maintenance of laboratory instruments documentation and presentation of test results What will you be doing Apply scientific problem-solving skills to support research and development activities in materials and process development Use hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation materials science and chemistry with strong emphasis on morphological characterization and particle size analysis to support development of industrially relevant technologies Develop and execute test methods to characterize and evaluate materials in accordance with project and customer requirements Perform laboratory experiments including material formulations sample preparation particle size and morphological analysis and product performance and reliability testing Document laboratory procedures and results analyze experimental data and prepare technical reports in line with organizational quality standards Communicate technical findings effectively within the project team and with internal and external stakeholders Maintain laboratory inventory instruments and supplies as required Support calibration routine maintenance of analytical instruments and ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping standards Who are You Master s degree in chemistry Materials Chemistry Chemical Engineering or a related discipline with 5-8 years of relevant industrial experience in an industrial R D environment Proven leadership in laboratory safety project ownership and cross-functional collaboration within a agile organization Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to clearly articulate complex technical results and resolve laboratory challenges What competencies will you need Motivated to learn new tasks new concepts new applications etc Ability to work as individual and as a part of a cross-functional and intercultural team Very good communication skill written and verbal in English Valuable Analytical problem solving skills and Strategic adaptability sense of urgency thinking We are Offering As part of our team here in addition to a competitive Gross Salary you will be eligible to participate in a generous performance related bonus scheme In addition you will receive 3 comprehensive insurance benefits 1 GMC Self Spouse and 2 Kids -
