We are seeking a Senior Safety Officer - Building Construction to ensure workplace safety and compliance with health and safety regulations The ideal candidate will implement safety policies conduct risk assessments and ensure a protected working environment for all employees on-site Key Responsibilities Develop implement and enforce site-specific safety policies and procedures Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations Identify potential hazards and risks and recommend corrective measures Ensure compliance with local safety laws building codes and industry regulations e g OSHA NEBOSH Provide safety training and toolbox talks to workers supervisors and engineers Investigate and report accidents incidents and near-misses and implement preventive measures Monitor the use of personal protective equipment PPE and ensure proper safety gear is worn Maintain safety records incident reports and risk assessment documentation Coordinate with project managers and engineers to develop emergency response plans Promote a safety-first culture and ensure all workers adhere to safety protocols Qualifications Education Diploma Bachelor s degree in Occupational Health Safety Civil Engineering or a related field Strong knowledge of construction safety standards risk assessment and hazard control Certification in NEBOSH OSHA IOSH or equivalent safety training Familiarity with first aid fire prevention and emergency response procedures Strong communication and leadership skills to enforce safety regulations Job Type Full-time Pay 45 000 00 - 65 000 00 per month Education Diploma Required Experience Construction 5 years Required Work Location In person
