Key responsibilities Counseling and guidance Provide confidential individual and group counseling sessions to address academic career and personal development needs Intervention and support Develop and implement intervention plans provide crisis intervention and offer support for issues like stress and anxiety Collaboration Work with teachers parents and administrators to support student needs and implement accommodations as well as mediate conflicts Workshops and presentations Organize and facilitate workshops and informational sessions on various topics relevant to student success and well-being Record keeping Maintain accurate and detailed records of counseling sessions student progress and parent meetings Career and college advising Assist students with career exploration college applications and understanding financial aid options Program development May assist in developing and implementing programs such as drug and alcohol prevention strategies Qualifications and skills Education Master s degree in Counseling Psychology or a related field is often required Experience Experience in an educational setting or similar role is generally necessary Licensure May require professional licensure as a counselor Interpersonal skills Solid communication active listening and empathy are crucial Problem-solving skills Ability to mediate conflicts and develop solutions Professionalism Maintain ethical standards and a non-judgmental approach Job Type Full-time Pay 10 000 00 - 25 000 00 per month Work Location In person
