Description Burns McDonnell India is a workplace focused on creating success for our clients Our work brings our people the chance to collaborate on challenging projects with co-workers who are motivated and connected to the work and to each other Working here you ll find teams creating innovative solutions Investigate our openings to become a part of our team and build your story with us Burns McDonnell India s BMI Water division in Mumbai India is seeking to hire Designers for the Mumbai Office The water division focuses on Water Municipal and Industrial Projects and Chemical facilities which offer a wide range of design project execution experience Our talented team provides engineering design services to support piping discipline for Water Municipal and Industrial Projects Not only is Burns McDonell India ranked one of India s Great Places to Work but we invest in our employee owners by mentoring training and professional advancement development To grow our team and to support upcoming projects we are hiring experienced personnel in our piping department Roles Responsibilities The position may include complete or partial responsibility of the following assignments Advanced understanding and proficient experience of design software such as Plant 3D Revit S3D Hand-on experience Navisworks Smart Plant Review LFM and Excel to develop design deliverables is preferred Familiar with codes and standards including ASME API PIP Shell DEP etc Piping modeling equipment modeling with nozzle Nozzle Orientation Equipment location plan piping arrangement etc accuracy checking of Input Pipe Support requirement as per analysis and its support tagging followed by back checking of same Supporting noncritical lines by self and support tagging Isometrics extraction and independent self-check Quality Review IFC isometric checking its documentation Position may require interface and coordination with other engineering disciplines designers in Mumbai office as well as various remote offices in the United States Qualifications ITI Professional piping drafting completed from an accredited program Experience of 5-10 years Experience of executing Water projects detail design based on ASME B31 3 ANSI NEMA and other international codes and standards Demonstrate Strong attention to detail facilitation team building and collaboration Must be having Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills Capability of solving design problems that require adaptation and modification of standard approaches techniques procedures and criteria s Provide training and mentoring to less experienced designers and team members Strong computer skills e g Microsoft Office Suite This job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled Job Engineering Primary Location India-Maharashtra-Mumbai Schedule Contract Travel No Req ID 254571 Job Hire Type Contingent Worker CWK Not Applicable BMI N A
