Company Qualcomm India Private LimitedJob Area Engineering Group Engineering Group Hardware EngineeringGeneral Summary As a leading technology innovator Qualcomm pushes the boundaries of what s possible to enable next-generation experiences and drives digital transformation to help create a smarter connected future for all As a Qualcomm Hardware Engineer you will plan design optimize verify and test electronic systems bring-up yield circuits mechanical systems Digital Analog RF optical systems equipment and packaging test systems FPGA and or DSP systems that launch cutting-edge world class products Qualcomm Hardware Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and meet performance requirements Minimum Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Electrical Electronics Engineering Engineering or related field and 3 years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience OR Master s degree in Computer Science Electrical Electronics Engineering Engineering or related field and 2 years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience OR PhD in Computer Science Electrical Electronics Engineering Engineering or related field and 1 year of Hardware Engineering or related work experience Job Overview As a CPU Emulation Debug Engineer you will work as part of the CPU validation team to debug different CPU related issues on emulation platforms You will work closely with all disciplines of CPU team to help validate high performance CPUs Roles and Responsibilities Understand the IP arch micro arch features and work with validation team for execution on emulation platforms Reproduce analyze and support in debug of complex out of order CPU pipeline issues Collaborate with CPU Design verification validation teams to reproduce the Silicon HW fails on emulation platforms and debug Develop validation methodology and test contents to exercise on emulators during pre-Si phase Work with emulation team to suggest architecture enhancements for improved debug capabilities Work with SOC bring up teams software teams and support in end-to-end bring-up of CPU in pre-Si phase Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers in the validation debug domain Document debug findings methodologies and best practices to improve team efficiency and knowledge sharing Minimum Qualifications BA BS degree in CS EE ECE with 7 years experience 5 Experience in Emulation platforms -
