Job Title Packing Supervisor Department Production Logistics Warehouse Industry Furniture Metal Manufacturing Location Bhiwandi Reports To Production Manager Plant Manager Operations Head Job Summary The Packing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the packing operations of furniture and metal products to ensure safe efficient and quality-assured packaging This includes managing a team of packers maintaining inventory of packing materials ensuring adherence to company standards and coordinating with logistics for timely dispatch Key Responsibilities Supervise and Manage Packing Team Oversee daily packing activities allocate work and ensure proper training and performance management of packers and helpers Ensure Packaging Quality and Compliance Ensure all furniture and metal products are packed securely according to standard operating procedures SOPs product specifications and quality standards to avoid damage during transit Inventory and Material Management Monitor and maintain adequate stock of packing materials such as bubble wrap cartons foam pallets stretch film edge protectors etc Raise requests for replenishment as needed Coordinate with Production QC and Dispatch teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery schedules Identify and implement improvements in packing methods and materials to reduce cost increase speed and improve product safety Maintain records of packed items damaged goods packaging material usage and manpower performance Submit daily weekly reports to management Ensure all packing operations comply with company safety policies and guidelines Provide training and enforce safety measures Assist in recruiting training and mentoring packing staff to build a skilled and productive team Required Qualifications Experience Coordination with Internal Departments Process Improvement Documentation and Reporting Health Safety Compliance Team Development Diploma Bachelor s Degree in any discipline preferably related to logistics industrial engineering or operations Fresher are welcome Minimum 2-5 years of supervisory experience in packing warehouse logistics within the furniture or metal industry Familiarity with various packing techniques and materials for heavy or delicate items wood metal glass components Ability to read packing specifications and drawings Basic knowledge of ERP or warehouse management systems WMS Strong leadership problem-solving and time management skills Key Skills Leadership Team Management Packing Handling Techniques Inventory Management Quality Control Health Safety Awareness Communication Coordination Attention to Detail Knowledge of Export Shipping Documentation if applicable Job Type Full-time Pay 15 000 00 - 25 000 00 per month Benefits Food provided Provident Fund Application Question s Are you comfortable with travelling bhiwandi location Work Location In person
