We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a background in the transformer industry to join our engineering team The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing transformer components and enclosures preparing fabrication drawings and ensuring compliance with industry standards Key Responsibilities Design mechanical parts for power and distribution transformers including tank core clamping structures radiators lifting arrangements and bushings Develop 2D and 3D CAD models using AutoCAD SolidWorks or Creo Prepare fabrication drawings BOMs and technical documentation Prepare customer submission drawings including Overall General Arrangement OGA foundation layout HV LV terminations marshalling box wiring etc in accordance with relevant GTP Guaranteed Technical Particulars Work closely with the electrical design manufacturing and quality teams to ensure accurate implementation of design requirements Apply knowledge of mechanical standards IS IEC and sheet metal welded structure design in transformer projects Perform tolerance analysis stress analysis manual or FEA and material selection Participate in technical reviews cost optimization and product improvement initiatives Ensure all designs comply with industry safety performance and reliability standards Requirements Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical design at least 4 year in the transformer manufacturing industry is mandatory Proficiency in CAD software like AutoCAD SolidWorks Creo or similar Good knowledge of transformer tank and component design Understanding of manufacturing processes welding sheet metal and machining Robust analytical communication and documentation skills Preferred Skills Familiarity with IS IEC transformer standards Experience in design change management and cost reduction Knowledge of PDM PLM tools Job Type Full-time Pay 60 000 00 - 90 000 00 per month Benefits Provident Fund Willingness to travel 50 Preferred Work Location In person
