JOB DESCRIPTION SCHOOLS COORDINATORABOUT AKSHAR FOUNDATION Akshar Foundation is a pioneering nonprofit organization based in Assam working to create a scalable model of education that integrates academic learning with practical skill-based training Our mission is to transform government schools into centres of excellence that not only impart knowledge but also equip students with real-life skills environmental values and vocational competencies With a focus on sustainability inclusivity and innovation we operate across multiple districts in collaboration with government stakeholders educators and communities Our unique model includes peer teaching plastic recycling vocational training and environmental awareness designed to break the cycle of poverty and empower children to become responsible and self-reliant citizens At Akshar Foundation we believe in building grassroots leaders who drive change and ensure quality education for every child Job Title Schools CoordinatorLocation Kamrup RuralEmployment Type Full-TimeRole Summary As an Schools Coordinator you will play a leadership role in implementing the Akshar Education Model in Government Schools across Assam You will act as the primary liaison between Akshar and the school administration working closely with the School Head and Government teachers to plan coordinate and deliver program activities This role requires strong communication and project management skills as well as the ability to train and support the team in using Akshar s innovative teaching tools You will also lead a small team of social workers and oversee the vocational training component of the program Key Responsibilities Build and maintain robust relationships with the School Head government teachers and staff Train and support teachers in effectively using the Akshar Toolkit worksheets tablets digital classes Plan and coordinate school-based activities in alignment with the goals of the Akshar Education Model Supervise and guide a team of 2-3 Schools Assistants Manage and implement vocational training initiatives in the school Ensure smooth execution of the program and continuous engagement with school stakeholders Qualifications Skills Graduation Postgraduate Minimum 2 years of work experience with at least 1 year in a school educational program or NGO Proficiency in English and Assamese spoken written and reading Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools with advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and report preparation Behavioral Competencies Excellent Communication Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to lead and motivate a team Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail Empathy and cultural sensitivity while working in diverse school environments High accountability and ownership of responsibilities Compensation Upto 3 00 000 per annum based on last drawn salary and relevant experience
