Sr Design Engineer - MNED Designated Manager Supervisor PURPOSE To design and optimise components and systems for special-purpose machinery and industrial equipment ensuring reliability and performance GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Design and Development Develop detailed designs for machine components and systems using CAD tools Perform analysis and testing to validate design reliability and performance Support the prototyping and manufacturing of equipment Technical Support Assist in troubleshooting and resolving design and production issues Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry best practices Collaboration and Reporting Work closely with the Technical Lead to execute project tasks Prepare technical documentation reports and project updates for stakeholders REQUIREMENTS Education BE B Tech or Master s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Work Experience Overall experience required may be up to 7 years 3 to 5 years of hands-on machine design design engineering experience Prior shopfloor experience of maintaining running factory tools CNCs etc experience with WIP inspection for quality control is positive to have Should have successfully executed at least 1 machine design product design project as a project lead with a team of engineers reporting to the candidate Proven experience in pitching ideas presentation planning budgeting hiring interviewing and executing projects Knowledge skills Should be familiar with industrial methodologies standards Design Thinking Kanban Kaizen Just in Time knowledge of quality control methodologies such as Six sigma etc Should have prior experience of direct client engagement for project work delivery Strong verbal and written technical communication presentation skills Demonstrated leadership and coordination skills for engagement of multi-disciplinary teams Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Prior technical experience and skills are desired Prior hands-on experience with software such as AutoCAD SolidWorks CATIA Ansys FEA FEM etc Experience of designing systems requires practical understanding of fields such as heat transfer thermodynamics fluid mechanics kinematics dynamics machine design principles strength of materials and vibration control Prior experience with G-code programming programming for CNCs will be good to have Basic knowledge of coding using C Java Python Expertise in assessing risk factors in a project computing ROI planning project timelines creating Gantt charts selecting tech stack and building a team Other Sills Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of design deliverables Provide reliable technical solutions that meet client requirements Contribute to cost-effective design and production strategies Support innovation in machinery design and optimisation processes Job Type Full-time Pay 600 000 00 - 1 600 000 00 per year Work Location In person
