- Fabric Manager Company- FashionC Overseas Exports Location Surat Work from Home with travel to Noida every 2 weeks Department Fabric Sourcing Development Reporting To Owner Salary- 50K Key Responsibilities 1 Fabric Sourcing Development Identify source and develop recent fabric suppliers from Surat and nearby textile hubs Ensure fabric sourcing aligns with buyer requirements in terms of design quality compliance and timelines Develop new fabric qualities and innovations as per buyer trends 2 Vendor Supplier Management Build and maintain strong relationships with mills dyeing units and processing houses Negotiate prices credit terms and lead times to optimize procurement costs Evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality delivery and reliability 3 Quality Compliance Ensure all fabrics meet international quality standards GSM color fastness shrinkage tensile strength etc Coordinate with testing labs for required fabric tests Monitor compliance standards and certifications as required by buyers 4 Coordination Planning Work closely with Merchandising and Production teams to align fabric requirements with order timelines Ensure fabric availability as per production plan without delays Prepare and share regular fabric status reports with the Noida office 5 Travel Communication Work remotely from Surat and maintain daily coordination with the Noida team Travel to Noida office once every two weeks or as required for meetings approvals and reviews Key Skills Competencies Strong knowledge of woven knitted and processed fabrics Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills Strong understanding of fabric testing and quality parameters Good communication reporting and coordination skills Ability to work independently with minimum supervision Qualifications Experience Graduate Post Graduate in Textile Engineering Textile Technology Fabric Management preferred Minimum 7-10 years of experience in fabric sourcing preferably from Surat or similar textile hubs Strong market knowledge and supplier network in Surat Experience in export house garment manufacturing environment preferred Job Type Full-time Pay 40 000 00 - 50 000 00 per month Work Location Remote
