We are looking for an experienced Works Manager to oversee end-to-end production operations at our switchgear manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will manage machine load allocation, production planning, material flow, and workforce coordination to ensure timely and effective delivery of high-quality switchgear products.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute daily/weekly/monthly production schedules as per order requirements.
- Allocate machine loads efficiently based on capacity, priority, and maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate material planning by working closely with procurement and stores to ensure material availability.
- Supervise and coordinate shop-floor workers and supervisors for smooth production flow.
- Monitor production progress, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety practices,
and process guidelines.
- Optimize machine utilization and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate production reports, utilization records, and daily MIS.
Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
- 5-10 years of experience in production or works management, preferably in switchgear/panel board manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of switchgear components, assembly processes, and testing.
