We are looking for an experienced and creative Senior Video Editor to join our video production team. The ideal candidate should have strong storytelling skills, excellent editing expertise, and the ability to produce high-quality videos within tight deadlines.

The Senior Video

Editor will be responsible for editing breaking news, explainer videos, branded content, and other digital video formats. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Adobe After Effects and Photoshop, maintain high production standards, and have a robust understanding of AI-powered tools and their applications in video production. Responsibilities

Edit high-quality short-form and long-form videos for YouTube, social media platforms, and other digital channels.

Handle breaking-news videos with speed, accuracy, and quick turnaround time.

Develop compelling visual stories using footage, graphics, music, sound effects, subtitles, and voiceovers.

Create attractive thumbnails and opening hooks to improve video click-through rates and audience retention.

Work with producers, reporters, camera teams, and content editors to understand the video brief and deliver the required output.

Ensure proper colour correction, audio balancing, transitions, graphics, and overall production quality.

Use motion graphics and visual effects to enhance video presentation.

Edit interviews, event coverage, promotional videos, explainers, reels, shorts,



and live-event highlights.

Maintain consistent branding and visual standards across all videos.

Manage multiple assignments simultaneously and deliver videos within agreed timelines.

Analyse video performance and use audience insights to improve future content.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Film Production, Mass Communication, Media Studies, Animation, or a related field.

Minimum 6–10 years of professional video-editing experience, preferably in digital media, news, entertainment, television, or a production house.

Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro.

Good working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Audition.

Strong understanding of video formats, frame rates, resolutions, codecs, colour correction, and audio standards.

Excellent visual storytelling, pacing, and music-selection skills.

Ability to create motion graphics, lower thirds, titles, transitions, and other visual elements.

Experience editing content for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and other digital platforms.

Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced newsroom environment.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain quality under tight deadlines.

Good communication, coordination, and team-management skills.

Ability to take ownership of projects from raw footage to final delivery.
