Automation Test Engineer (Selenium/Playwright)
1. Position Overview
- Experience in designing, executing, and managing automation testing activities for software applications.
- Create comprehensive test plans, test cases and test scripts based on business requirements and functional specifications.
- Assures consistent quality of Software Applications via Automation API testing, Salesforce Testing, Testing strategies and test cases.
- Perform manual testing as needed to understand application processes and workflows to convert into automated test scripts.
- Create and maintain automated test scripts in defined repository, integrate scripts into the continuous delivery pipeline and provide output reporting for test execution runs.
- Manage and organize test data and perform data analysis. Develop and maintain test data repositories to assure data integrity in all database platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with a proactive approach to identify and resolve issues, are essential.
- Collaborate closely with development team to understand/enhance test automation frameworks and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes.
- Responsible for ensuring that the testing process is efficient, effective, and aligned with project goals and timelines.

1. Responsibilities /
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber framework, Java or Playwright/Salesforce.
Capable of handling and maintaining data driven/test driven automation framework
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java or Python, Java Scripts etc.
- Associate must have experience in Designing and creating automation test plans, test cases, and test scripts automation testing.
- Generate detailed test reports and metrices to communicate the status of test efforts to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the development team to understand product requirements and create test cases for automation.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and automation best practices.
- Contribute to the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) process by integrating automated tests into the build pipeline.
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues found during automated testing, working closely with developers to resolve them.
- Maintain test environments and test data to ensure consistency and reliability of automated tests.
- Document test cases, test results, and automation processes for future reference.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of the testing process and methodologies.
- Experience working in an Agile environment and working closely with all project stake holders.
- Knowledge in Defect Life Cycle and Test and Defect management tool like JIRA, HP ALM, Zephyr, and X-Ray.
- Experience in Web Services Testing (REST/SOAP) using test tool like Postman.
- Knowledge of insurance domain will be an added advantage.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automation testing tools and techniques
1. Education and Certification
- Strong educational background with a degree preferably in IT or equivalent
- ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation level or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Positive Team Player/Analytical Skills/ Communication Skill
- 2-12 years of relevant experience in automation testing
