Position Designation: Vice President – Engineering
Department: Manufacturing
Reporting To: Managing Director
Role Purpose:
The Vice President – Engineering will lead the organization's engineering strategy by developing world-class manufacturing capabilities across all plants. The role is responsible for driving manufacturing engineering, process excellence, industrial engineering, automation, digital manufacturing, new product industrialization, capital projects, and technology transformation to improve productivity, quality, cost competitiveness, and long-term business growth.
Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing
Engineering
ï· Develop and standardize manufacturing processes across all plants.
ï· Improve manufacturing capability through engineering innovations.
ï· Establish engineering standards and best practices.
2.
Process
Engineering
ï· Optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity and quality.
ï· Reduce cycle time, waste, and process variation.
ï· Lead process validation and continuous improvement initiatives.
3.
Industrial
Engineering
ï· Drive manpower optimization and line balancing.
ï· Improve plant layouts and material flow.
ï· Enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through engineering initiatives.
4. Automation & Industry 4.0
ï· Develop automation roadmap for all manufacturing plants.
ï· Lead robotics, PLC, vision systems, AGVs, IoT, MES and digital manufacturing initiatives.
ï· Implement Industry 4.0 technologies to improve operational efficiency.
5.
New Product
Introduction (NPI)
ï· Lead industrialization of current products from design to mass production.
ï· Ensure smooth product launch with minimum lead time.
ï· Collaborate with R&D;, Supply Chain,
Quality and Manufacturing teams.
6.
Capital
Projects ï· Plan and execute greenfield, brownfield and expansion projects.
ï· Manage capital expenditure (CapEx) budgets.
ï· Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and meeting business objectives.
7. Tooling & Fixture Development ï· Develop production tooling, fixtures, jigs and gauges.
ï· Improve manufacturing flexibility through innovative tooling solutions.
8. Cost Reduction ï· Lead Value Engineering (VE) and Value Analysis (VA) initiatives.
ï· Drive productivity improvements and manufacturing cost optimization.
ï· Identify engineering-led savings opportunities.
9.
Digital
Manufacturing ï· Implement smart manufacturing solutions.
ï· Develop dashboards for real-time manufacturing performance.
ï· Improve data-driven decision making across plants.
10.
Technical Capability
Development ï· Build strong engineering competencies across manufacturing locations.
ï· Develop engineering talent pipeline.
ï· Promote innovation and continuous improvement culture.
