Virtualization Engineer

Contract

Delhi/Hyderabad Key Responsibilities

Administer and maintain enterprise virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere and Nutanix AHV.

Deploy, configure, and manage virtual machines, clusters, hosts, resource pools, and datastores.

Manage VMware vCenter infrastructure including ESXi hosts, DRS, HA, vMotion, Storage vMotion, and Distributed Switches.

Administer Nutanix clusters, AHV hypervisor, Prism Central, and Prism Element.

Monitor virtual infrastructure performance using VMware vRealize Operations (vROps).

Analyze infrastructure health, capacity planning, and performance trends to optimize virtual environments.

Develop and maintain automation workflows using VMware vRealize Automation (vRA).

Implement self-service provisioning and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) automation.

Perform virtual infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management.





Manage virtual networking, storage integration, and cluster optimization.

Configure and maintain high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.

Perform backup and recovery integration with enterprise backup solutions.

Troubleshoot virtualization, storage, networking, and performance-related issues.

Work closely with Windows, Linux, Storage, Network, and Cloud teams during infrastructure deployments.

Automate routine administrative tasks using PowerShell, PowerCLI, or scripting tools.

Maintain infrastructure documentation, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.

Participate in incident, problem, change, and release management activities following ITIL processes.
