Role Description The Video Language Captioning Annotators role is a full-time, remote position focused on creating accurate and contextually appropriate captions for video content.

Responsibilities include listening to and reviewing video audio tracks, transcribing dialogue and relevant sounds, and synchronizing captions with the correct timestamps. Annotators will ensure that language, grammar, and punctuation are correct and consistent, and that captions adhere to style guidelines and client specifications. The role involves working with language tools and platforms, conducting basic checks for translation accuracy where needed,



and collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

Annotators are expected to maintain confidentiality of client content, manage their time effectively, and participate in periodic training or feedback sessions to improve captioning quality.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Translation and Language Services skills, with the ability to understand nuances across languages used in video content.

Candidates should possess clear Communication skills, including the ability to follow instructions, provide feedback, and collaborate in a remote team environment.

Candidates should possess Interpreting skills where required, to accurately convey meaning, tone, and cultural context in captions.

Candidates should possess solid Writing skills, including excellent grammar, spelling, and attention to detail for caption creation.

Solid listening skills and concentration, with the ability to work with audio and video tools for extended periods.

Comfort with using computers, web-based platforms, and basic productivity tools; ability to learn new annotation software quickly.

High accuracy, consistency, and time management skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines and quality benchmarks.

Prior experience in captioning, transcription, subtitling, or related language work is an advantage but not mandatory.

Relevant academic background in languages, linguistics, communication, or a related field is beneficial.
