Role Description The Video Editor at Socrates Studio is a full-time, in office role based in Delhi, India. This role involves assembling raw footage into polished videos, selecting and trimming clips, organizing timelines, and ensuring smooth story flow.

The Video

Editor will apply color grading, integrate motion graphics and basic graphics, add sound effects and music, and prepare final exports optimized for various platforms. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with producers and designers, interpreting briefs, maintaining brand and style consistency,



and managing project files and backups. The role also requires reviewing feedback, revising edits efficiently, and meeting deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.

Qualifications Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production, including organizing footage, editing timelines, and delivering final outputs.

Ability to perform Video Color Grading to enhance visual quality and maintain consistent look and feel across projects.

Proficiency in Motion Graphics and Graphics to create engaging visual elements, titles, and overlays.

Hands-on experience with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and motion graphics tools (e.g., After Effects).

Good understanding of sound design basics, file formats, codecs, and video export settings for web and social platforms.

Strong visual storytelling skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under deadlines in a collaborative studio environment.

Relevant education or training in film, media, animation, or a related field is preferred; a portfolio or showreel demonstrating previous work is required.
