Company Description Superfan.ng (SPNG) is an edtech learning platform focused on African languages and cultural knowledge. The platform uses a gamified, quiz-first approach to help learners explore African proverbs, traditions, rites of passage, festivals, folklore, and customs.

Designed for Africans and the diaspora, SPNG aims to make cultural learning engaging, interactive, and accessible. The team is driven by a passion for preserving and celebrating African heritage through up-to-date digital experiences.

Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a User Experience Designer at Superfan.ng (SPNG).

The User Experience

Designer will be responsible for understanding user needs, mapping user journeys, and translating insights into intuitive, engaging product experiences. Day-to-day tasks include conducting user research, designing wireframes and interactive prototypes, collaborating with product and engineering teams, and refining visual and interaction design based on feedback and data. The role also involves contributing to design guidelines, ensuring consistency across the platform,



and continuously iterating on features to improve usability and user satisfaction.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Design Thinking and User Experience (UX) to solve problems and create user-centered solutions.
- Candidates should possess skills in User Research to gather insights from users and inform design decisions.
- Candidates should possess skills in Visual Design to craft clear, engaging, and culturally resonant interfaces.
- Candidates should possess skills in Prototyping to create and test interactive concepts before development.
- Experience with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) is beneficial.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in remote, cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with mobile app design and gamified learning experiences is a plus.
- Interest in or experience with African languages, cultures, or edtech products is highly beneficial.
- A relevant degree or equivalent practical experience in UX design, interaction design, or related fields is preferred.
